On the fourth day of the show, Kodak's Graphic Communications Group (GCG) concluded a hugely successful event, taking many orders, delivering numerous demonstrations, logging in a lot of qualified leads, and exceeding the company's aggressive goals at China Print 2009.
On the site, Kodak's digital solutions draw great interests of the visitors: Glossing, fifth color option, and software and substrate flexibility make NEXPRESS Presses ideal for applications requiring outstanding quality; With the reliability, productivity, cost of ownership, and quality of offset, the STREAM PRINTHEAD adds variable data to inline production without the need for additional offline laser printing; The latest expansion of the KODAK VERSAMARK V-Series Printing Systems portfolio brings higher resolution to Kodak's inkjet line and provides an affordable solution for the mid volume range of bill and statement producers; The KODAK GENERATION NEWS System provides both the superior quality of thermal imaging and throughput speeds of up to 300 plates per hour...
Kodak's strategy of placing workflow at the hub and showing conventional and digital solutions within this blended production environment resonated with visitors. We showed how customers can expand their capabilities and profits. With our digital technology, we have collected a lot of sales leads taken at the show filling the funnel. Without exception, every region, segment and product line exceeded Kodak's expectations.
Make it brilliant, make it Kodak!

Kodak's digital printing technologies have become the must-see of China Print 2009 both for the visitors, as well as the must-report of the media.
The only national-wide TV network, CCTV reported Kodak Nexpress S3000 digital color variable data printing press in the program DiYi ShiJian (Morning Express) on Channel 2, focusing on the environmental characteristics and dimensional printing technology. The visitor also gathered at Kodak's booth, especially around the Nexpress S3000. The high impact of the 3D textures of the orange win the acknowledgments of the industry professionals.

The Stream Printhead from Kodak is also the big-bang of the show. The Stream Printhead, with flexible mounting options, integrates seamlessly with web offset presses, web finishing lines and a variety of third party printing towers to add variable data to offset printed materials at 1,000 fpm (305 mpm) with a resolution of 600 dpi. The high quality and VDP printing technology of the Stream Printhead transformed the traditional impression on digital printing of the visitors.

We also take part in the events outside of Kodak's Booth. On the manroland booth, Kodak GENERATION NEWS computer-to-plate system is the focus on the site, and Kodak's technical engineer operates the equipment on-site for the visitors. Today, the 2 important players in the graphic arts industry also jointly held the Newspaper VIP seminar, focusing on the strategies and trends in the newspaper industry, and related solutions.
Today is K2-DAY, the second day of a series of Digital Printing Solutions Innovations Days here in the demo center at La Hulpe in Belgium.

'Aux Armes' was the battle cry of the scores of French civilians during the French Revolution. In a way there were quite some similarities: we were swarmed by more than 50 French customers today all wanting to see Kodak's revolutionary and innovative DPS solutions.
The customers were welcomed by Florence Maurice, Managing Director France and Dominique Settbon, Sales Director Digital Printing France.
After an overview presentation of our DPS solutions, a detailed presentation was given on Kodak's workflow solutions.

We also got some very interesting customer presentations by Mr. Thomas Drelon, from STIPA and Mr. Jean-Paul Serneels on behalf of Speos.
In the afternoon the demo was hot and hectic. The 50+ French customers were split in 5 groups that rotated through the demo and the different Kodak solutions. Demonstrators and presenters gave it their best, not once but yes, 5 times in a row!

At the end of the day after coffee, fruit juice and some last interactive chats, the French group got on the bus to Gare du Midi in Brussels from where the TGV (High Speed Train) will bring them in +/- 1 hr safely back to Paris and beyond.
Day 2 was a busy day with an excellent turn-out.
Several French customers told us we should do this more often ... They like the content, format and interactivity of the event!
